Jamie Harris, MA, LCPC

Hello and welcome to Therapeutic Life Counseling! I’m Jamie Harris (she/her/hers). I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and have over a decade of therapy experience with young children through adults. I have been fortunate to find a career path that I truly love and am glad that you are interested in therapy; it can be so helpful to have someone to provide support, guidance, and outside perspective as you navigate the many difficulties of life. Throughout my career path, I have met so many amazing people who have not realized how amazing they truly were. It is a privilege to be able to help other people see their potential and strength.

I approach therapy in a collaborative fashion, integrating evidence-based techniques (CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR), developmental considerations, and mindfulness techniques with a humanistic approach and emphasis on individual self-efficacy. I feel that it is important to focus not just on what is not working in one’s life, but also what strengths can be built upon. I strive to meet each person where they are at to give them the best possible experience and outcome. I am honored to be a part of this journey for the individuals I work with.

I have a diverse training background which has granted me the privilege of working with culturally and demographically diverse individuals with various mental health and behavioral concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and trauma related disorders, substance use concerns, personality disorders, SMI, LGBTQIA+ specific concerns, and navigating neurodiversity. My therapeutic strengths lie in anxiety and trauma related disorders as well as navigating difficulties in relationships. I can promise the therapeutic space is safe no matter what you bring to the table; there is no judgment and we will always focus on the goals that are most important to you.
